I have greatly enjoyed this woman's past work, but she needs a better vocal coach, or to step back and take a moment, then try to act like Taylor swift or someone else when singing. it works for basketball players, when trying to mimic an upcoming teams star player to practice against, they find using another's moves can sometimes improve their own game. I was stoked when I came across an album of beach boy covers by she and him, and wanted to buy it, being a beach boys fan. However, all albums were very picked over as part of a multiple purchase discount, and the she and him was the only thing that interested me. I wanted a discount , so didn't buy. then I checked it out on you tube and was so glad I left it alone. the woman has a wonderful instrument, although she does get a little shouty at times, but the male singer, he must have blackmail material on someone, from his vocal contributions to the album.
